Brigade Boys & Girls Club - Program Volunteer

Brigade Boys & Girls Club is looking for volunteers that would be willing to consistently assist youth (Elementary – High School age students) who are currently attending Brigade after school program with completing their schoolwork. Volunteers will ideally be paired with a child that they consistently work with for relationship building purposes. The ideal volunteer candidate will have consistent availability, ample patience, passion for educating children, comfort working with a tablet or laptop, and experience working with children. Specifics located below: Who: Individuals 18 & older What: Assisting children one-on-one to complete their homework while they attend Brigade’s Afterschool Care When: Volunteers are needed Monday – Friday from 3-6pm. Where: Brigade Boys & Girls Club’s Carl B. Brown Youth Center, Montgomery Register Teen Center (both located at 2759 Vance Street), and our Houston Moore Housing Site (1601 S. 13th Street). *Please Note* - Volunteers will be required to complete a background check, complete orientation and receive training prior to beginning their role as a volunteer at Brigade.
