What We Do

The mission of Cape Fear Kids Get Books is to provide new, high-quality books to children in grades K-2 attending Title 1 underperforming schools and to children ages three and four who attend income-eligible Pre-K programs in New Hanover County.

We know that lack of access to books in the home is a major obstacle to children’s literacy. Through our non-profit, community-focused organization, we are working to improve literacy levels among children in economically disadvantaged households.
