What We Do
Feast Down East is a nonprofit organization working to grow the local food system in Southeastern North Carolina. Our mission is to strengthen the farming communities in and around the Southeastern North Carolina area by providing resources, education, and distribution opportunities to farmers while addressing equitable food access in communities with the greatest need.
Our programs include distribution and farmer support at the Feast Down East Food Hub, a mobile farmers' market called the Local Motive Mobile Farmers' Market, and Farmers Fighting Hunger, which assists with food relief.
FDE envisions a world where sustainable, healthy farms can be passed on to generations to come, and where all have access to affordable, fresh, local, nutritious food.
