What We Do

Honor Flight of the Cape Fear Area honors WWII, Korea War, and Vietnam War era Veterans by taking them on an all-expenses-paid day trip to Washington, DC for a day of remembrance and honor as they visit the memorials and monuments built in their honor. Additionally we work to educate the public on the service provided by these men and women and give them an opportunity to express their gratitude. We flew our inaugural flight to DC in April 2022, and will fly annually in the spring. We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization.

Interesting Info
  • Nationally the Honor Flight Network has flown over 250,000 veterans to Washington since 2005.
  • Many of our Veterans were never thanked for their service or welcomed home after their service overseas. We thank them!
  • A Veteran who travelled with Honor Flight said that other than his wedding day and the birth of his children it was the most meaningful day of his life.
