What We Do
Dedicated to preserving the history of the Lower Cape Fear region, the Historical Society operates a Victorian-era house which not only houses our historical archives and library but our collection of over 600 artifacts. We are a membership-supported organization providing educational and experiential programs to members and non-members. Memberships include free tours of the Latimer House in downtown Wilmington, use of our archives, membership events and book talks, discounts on all programs, a 10% discount in our gift shop, and more.
Interesting Info
- The Society's activities include restoration and exhibition of the Latimer House, a Victorian Italianate upper-class merchant's home in the heart of Wilmington
