What We Do
Samara’s Village is the first and only nonprofit (501(c)3) of its kind in Brunswick County with a mission to equip, educate and empower at risk adolescent parents to raise healthy babies and families. We do this by providing 3 key services: 1. specialized educational interventions, 2. services directed at supporting the family’s immediate needs, and 3. coordination with available resources – all free of charge.
Our vision is is building a strong community, one child at a time.
Interesting Info
- We have provided services to about 150 mothers, dads and babies since we began services in January 2016.
- Samara's Village helped one mom to finish high school and be prepared to deliver and raise a baby; “without Samara's Village I'd be lost”
- Thanks to the generosity of Live Oak Bank and Habitat for Humanity, Samara's Village gifted a free outdoor playhouse to one of our participants and their family
