The WUMC Food Pantry meets a critical need nourishing our local families.
What we do: We provide weekly food absolutely free to those in need. Dry goods, fresh meats, produce, dairy, and other items come to us from multiple partners. The food pantry is open for two distribution days a week. We facilitate a clean, organized, and dignified shopping experience.
Who we are: The food pantry is powered by volunteers from students to seniors giving generously of themselves. We are joyful about doing good work. We believe in welcoming and serving all people.
What we need: We need trucks for transporting donations, strength to lift boxes, hands to stock and organize shelves, basic computer skills for the laptop, smiles and the desire to meet others where they are at and accompany them while they gather the things they need to make it through the week. Come join us!

- We won the Food Lion Great Pantry Makeover for September 2023! Our food pantry will be gifted $6,000 for equipment, a pallet of wholesome foods!
- WUMC has been providing this food pantry for the local community for over 25 years.
- Kids think it's fun to help out on breaks from school! They get a lot of energy out bringing shopping carts around!
