Honor Flight of the Cape Fear Area

Please join the community in writing a letter to a Veteran to thank him/her for their service.  Groups and individuals of all ages are encouraged to write a letter or draw a picture to say "THANK YOU" to our Veterans. 

• Submissions can be letters, cards, or drawings, but should be no larger than 8.5x11” and not include any extra materials, such as trinkets, beads, flags, candy, etc. In other words, the written mail needs to sit flat so it can all fit.
• The mail can be addressed to A Veteran or A Hero, but should not be specific to a war/conflict, branch, or even gender. Individual participants may sign their mail with a first name only, though you may include your group name (i.e. Boy Scout Troop 210, or 3rd grade class at Anderson Elementary).
• If you know a travelling Veteran and want to include a personalized letter, please submit it separately and clearly marked so we can assure it gets to the correct person.
• All mail must be received by April 3, 2023.  Any mail received after that date will be saved and used on next year’s flight. Once ready, you may contact us for local pick up or you may send the mail to the following address:
